While the game was set to launch on February 28, RGG Studio recently revealed that Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is now set to launch a bit earlier.
To be exact, the game is now going to be released on PC and consoles on February 21 — that’s one week earlier than the initial launch date which is no doubt great news for Yakuza fans.
This new release date was revealed by RGG Studio director and executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama. He revealed the new launch date in a special message to fans.
The new release date wasn’t the only thing shared recently. RGG Studio also released the second official trailer for the game. While it’s only a 2-minute-long trailer, it’s very much a meaty one as it shows off Majima’s new pirate life, along with his customizable pirate ship named the Goromaru. Aboard the ship, players will also engage in big naval battles against various enemy vessels.

The Like a Dragon series has seen its fair share of wacky side missions and mini-games, though this one definitely goes the extra mile as pretty much no one expected RGG Studio’s next game to be a Majima pirate title. Given the studio’s track record though, this is no doubt another must-play for Yakuza fans.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on February 21, 2025.
