Netflix rolls out new ‘Moments’ feature on mobile

Netflix's Moments feature essentially lets you bookmark your favorite scenes and share them online.

Aside from continuing to roll out exciting titles like Dandadan, Netflix has now released its new feature for mobile devices called “Moments.”

So, what exactly are Moments? Well, this feature essentially lets you “bookmark” specific moments from your favorite movies and shows. Say for instance, you can’t get enough of Arcane Season 1’s big fight between Jinx and Ekko, with Moments, you can save this part of the show to make it easy to rewatch.

How it works is that you can just simply tap the Moments option at the bottom of the screen, and it’ll automatically save to your My Netflix tab. This feature isn’t just a glorified bookmark though as you can also take these Moments and share them on social media so you can let your favorite parts with friends and mutuals (just make sure not to spoil them). Take note that only a select part of the scenes will be shared, though the sharing function is available on Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.

This new feature was rolled out today on iOS devices globally, with Android devices also getting it in the coming weeks. Alongside this new feature, Netflix also launched its new global brand campaign called “It’s So Good”, featuring memorable moments captured by notable names, including Cardi B, Simone Biles, and Giancarlo Esposito.

This is just the start for Moments though as Netflix shared that it is keen on expanding this feature in the future. More updates on additional functionality will be shared soon.
