Rebel Wolves partners with Bandai Namco for upcoming Dawnwalker RPG

Rebel Wolves was founded in 2022, and it features key members of The Witcher 3's development team.

Rebel Wolves recently announced that it has partnered with Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe for the studio’s upcoming RPG in the Dawnwalker saga.

Thanks to this partnership, Bandai Namco will be the global publisher of the next game from the studio. To be exact, Bandai Namo will handle both physical and digital distribution of the game for its PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam) release.

While many of Bandai Namco’s games are developed by their in-house teams, the publisher is no stranger to distributing games made by other studios. For instance, their recent hit Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero was actually developed by Spike Chunsoft. Then, there’s Elden Ring which is developed by FromSoftware.

As for the latest studio that has partnered with Bandai Namco, Rebel Wolves was founded in 2022 by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Alongside Tomaszkiewicz, the new studio also features many of the core team members of The Witcher 3 and its expansions, meaning their next game should be one to watch out for, especially for RPG fans.

While their upcoming game has no title yet, it is confirmed to be a “dark fantasy narrative sandbox, AAA action-RPG set in medieval Europe” that’s intended for mature audiences and is made in Unreal Engine 5. This game is also set to be the first in the Dawnwalker saga, of which more details will be announced in the coming months.

Given that it’s nearly the end of 2024, chances are that this game will finally be revealed at The Game Awards 2024 this December.
