SEGA puts the Yakuza games on sale to celebrate the Like a Dragon live-action series premiere

Score big deals on the Yakuza games with SEGA's latest round of offers.

The Prime Video series Like a Dragon: Yakuza is coming out on October 25, and to celebrate the occasion, SEGA announced its new Yakuza series sale on the PlayStation Store and Steam.

During this sale, players can get big discounts on various games, including 35% off the Yakuza Complete Series bundle and the newer series entries. As such, this is a great way for those new to the series to get into the beloved Yakuza franchise.

Here’s a rundown of the highlight games on offer:

First up, we have Yakuza: Like a Dragon (aka Yakuza 7). This is a huge title for the series because it introduces a brand-new protagonist in Ichiban Kasuga, and it features a big combat twist as it turned the series into a turn-based JRPG (at least, for the mainline entries).

Then, there’s the 45% discount for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. This is a shorter series entry, though it’s still a must-play for fans as it sees Kiryu in an intriguing new adventure, complete with an updated skillset and a moving story that ties up nicely to the latest mainline game.

That last series entry is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and it is the follow-up to Ichiban Kasuga’s story. This time, it sees him team up with the legend Kazuma Kiryu in a quest that takes the two to sunny Hawaii. The game also features a refined version of Yakuza 7’s RPG combat system.

The Like a Dragon PlayStation Store sale is available now until November 6, 2024. Meanwhile, the Steam sale starts on October 25 at 2:00 a.m. and ends on November 7 (PH time). For more details, visit the official sale website.

Aside from the offers and the live-action series premiere, the Like a Dragon series is also coming to the Switch this week with the release of Yakuza Kiwami on Nintendo’s console.
