With the game’s release just weeks away, SEGA has released episode 1 of Sonic x Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings.
Dark Beginnings serves as an animated prologue to the upcoming Sonic game, and as such, it’s a must-watch ahead of the game’s launch later this month. Plus, Shadow fans are in for a treat as this prologue is centered around him along with Maria Robotnik.
Episode 1 is only around 6 minutes long, but fans can at least look forward to two more episodes as this mini-series will have three in total.

Alongside the first episode of the new miniseries, SEGA also shared a new story trailer for the game which shows clips of Shadow’s creation and his reunion with Black Doom. On top of these big story moments, the trailer also shows off fight scenes and other gameplay moments.

In case you missed it, Sonic x Shadow Generations is a remaster of Sonic Generations that comes with brand-new levels where players take on the role of Shadow the Hedgehog.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S. Xbox One, Switch, and PC on October 25, 2024.
