Starfield: Shattered Space now available on Xbox and PC

Starfield's first premium expansion adds a new handcrafted location and an accompanying storyline.

After its announcement over a year ago, Bethesda finally released Starfield: Shattered Space on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Shattered Space is the first major expansion for Starfield, Bethesda’s space exploration action-RPG. It may have taken a while before release, but this expansion is a big one as it features a brand-new handcrafted location.

Its story is also quite intriguing as it follows players on a journey to the homeworld of House Va’ruun for the first time. There, players must discover the mysteries surrounding the followers of the Great Serpent.

To go along with the release, Bethesda shared the official Shattered Space launch trailer which you can watch here:

Shattered Space is available now Xbox Series X | S and PC for owners of the Premium or Constellation Editions of the base game. Meanwhile, owners of the Starfield Standard Edition can access the expansion by purchasing the Digital Premium Upgrade. Getting this upgrade will not only give access to the expansion, but it will also come with other digital items, including Digital Art Book, Original Soundtrack, 1,000 Creation Credits, and the Constellation Skin pack.

This won’t be the only content addition to Starfield though. Todd Howard confirmed back in June that a second Premium Expansion is in the works.
