Blue Lock Season 1 is streaming now for free on Ani-One Philippines

It's only available for a limited time though.

With the second season continuing to get new episodes, Ani-One Philippines has released Blue Lock Season 1 for free as a treat for anime fans.

To be exact, Ani-One released the entire first season of Blue Lock for free with no catch on the Ani-One Philippines YouTube Channel. Of course, it won’t be available forever though as it will only be free to watch until December 31, 2024.

Despite this, the fact that it’s free is great news for anime fans who haven’t watched the show yet. Blue Lock’s first season premiered during the Fall 2022 season, and it became a major hit, especially because its release coincided with Japan’s miracle run at the 2024 World Cup.

Thanks to its success, fans were also treated to the Blue Lock Episode Nagi movie which was released in cinemas earlier this year. Finally, the anime’s second season premiered last month.

As for its story, Blue Lock isn’t your typical sports anime as it’s a more action-packed version with a battle royale twist. Its premise is described as:

“After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win. The Japan Football Union is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match…and to do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players. Who will emerge to lead the team…and will they be able to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way?”

The show’s second season is airing now, though it has gotten some less-than-stellar reviews from fans because of its animation. For those who still want to know what happens next without watching the new season, there’s always the Blue Lock manga which continues to get new chapters every week.
