Following its recent Moo Deng collab, Garena announced a new crossover for Free Fire, this time it’s with the popular sports anime Blue Lock.
This collab makes a lot of sense for Free Fire given that the game has released collaborations with lots of popular anime over the years. Sure, Blue Lock being a sports anime might seem a bit unexpected for a battle royale collab, though it makes sense given that Blue Lock is not your typical sports show. Plus, it should be good news for fans of the anime, especially as its second season is ongoing.
Free Fire’s latest crossover will be live from November 23 to December 8, and it will feature an array of in-game items. These include jerseys of fan-favorite characters, Isagi Yoichi and Nagi Seishiro. What’s more, there will also be Isagi’s Spatial Awareness and Nagi’s Trapping emotes available as part of the collab.
Players who log in and complete missions during the collab period will get various Blue Lock-themed items in-game, including weapon and vehicle skins, avatars, and a special banner.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Blue Lock is a sports anime based on the hit manga of the same name. It’s a bit different from others in the genre though as it features a unique, battle royale-inspired story.
Its premise is described as:
In the world of BLUE LOCK, aspiring strikers from across Japan enroll at a massive, secretive training facility, where they undergo extreme training regimen for a shot at success. Elimination of the weakest is inevitable in each round, driving participants of BLUE LOCK to push their limits and constantly evolve their skills.
Free Fire is available now for free on the App store and Google Play store.
