Huawei launches the new MatePad 12 X in the Philippines

The new Huawei MatePad 12 X promises PC-like productivity and more.

Fresh after unveiling the tablet globally, Huawei released the new MatePad 12 X in the Philippines, complete with a special bundle for the holidays.

To be exact, the newest entry of the MatePad series is available now in the Philippines via official Huawei stores and partner retailers both online and offline, complete with an exclusive freebie bundle.

As for what to expect, the new MatePad 12 X is a promising tablet that promises to be a great partner for productivity, be it for users who want a laptop-like device that’s more portable, all while being a nice match for creatives thanks to its PaperMatte display.

In case you’re unfamiliar, the PaperMatte display packs some interesting features that give it a paper-like feel when using the M-Pencil for note-taking and drawing. Aside from feeling great to use, the screen also has Nanoscale Anti-glare Etching technology to reduce screen glare and emit soft light to make the display easier on the eyes even when using it for longer. As a bonus, the screen also has an ultra-hydrophobic, oil-resistant film that resists fingerprint stains and optimizes touch responsiveness.

Having a nice screen is great and all, but it’s also important to have good performance. In this regard, the MatePad 12 X shouldn’t disappoint as it is powered by a Kirin chipset which promises to be easily able to run productivity apps with ease. Speaking of productivity, you should also have no issues working on this device as it features the PC-level WPS Office (a MatePad exclusive). With this, you can create documents, slides, and spreadsheets with ease.

It also helps that the MatePad 12 X has support for the NearLink Keyboard which should offer a comfortable typing experience, along with the M-Pencil (3rd generation) for artists and creatives.

Other features of the tablet include its large 10,100 mAh battery which should let it run for a day of heavy use with ease. It even has a 66 W HUAWEI SuperCharge feature that lets it fill up to 100% in just 85 minutes.

Finally, the tablet sports a 13MP main and 8MP ultrawide camera at the front, complete with an 8MP front shooter for video conferences and personal calls.

In the Philippines, the Huawei MatePad 12 X is now available on Shopee, Lazada, Tiktok, HUAWEI Online Store and HUAWEI Experience Stores nationwide for PHP 37,999.

Each purchase from now until December 31 will come with an exclusive free bundle worth a total of PHP 19,896.
