Metaphor: ReFantazio gets six nominations at The Game Awards

Metaphor: ReFantazio is already a big winner even before the awards!

The Game Awards nominations are here, and Metaphor: ReFantazio is already one of the big winners as it got six nominations.

Given how well-received the game has been, it’s no surprise that Studio Zero’s latest title is one of the nominees of The Game Awards’ biggest category. That’s not all it got though as the game also received nominations in other major categories. These include:

  • Game of the Year
  • Best Art Direction
  • Best Score & Music
  • Best Narrative
  • Best RPG
  • Best Game Direction

Even though the ceremony is happening in December, this is already a massive win for Metaphor. After all, only two games have more nominations that Metaphor this year (Astro Bot and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have seven each).

As always, The Game Awards is open for voting from fans, meaning those who enjoyed this game can vote for it now on the official website.

To celebrate Metaphor: ReFantazio’s multiple nominations, character designer Shigenori Soejima created a brand-new key visual featuring the protagonist and his companions traveling aboard the Gauntlet Runner. Check it out here:
