After the interviews with First Summer Uika and Munetaka Aoki, the third Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii interview is with Ryuji Akiyama, the voice of Masaru Fujita in this next Like a Dragon title.
While Like a Dragon fans outside Japan might not be familiar with Akiyama (aka Robert), he is quite popular in Japan. Akiyama is a notable comedian who has also played roles in various TV shows in the country over the years.
His latest role is Masaru Fujita, a chef-slash-bodyguard who ends up joining Goro Majima’s pirate crew. In the interview, Akiyama shared his thoughts on landing the role, the recording process, his experience filming with the Minato Girls, and more.

Masaru Fujita – A Skilled Chef for Hire Who’s Sailed the Seas on a Long Line of Pirate Ships.
A bodyguard and chef who runs the kitchen of a pirate ship anchored at Rich Island.
His wits and humor make him the life of the party. Due to his incredible brawn and fighting prowess, some joke that he’s a better bodyguard than a chef.
As for the game itself, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is the next title in the long-running Like a Dragon series, though it promises to deliver a unique pirate-themed experience.
In the game, players take on the role of fan-favorite Goro Majima who loses his memories after the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Soon, he ends up in Hawaii, and through some turn of events, Majima becomes the leader of a pirate crew.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on February 21, 2025.
