Even though the story is over, fans are still in for a treat as The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2 is coming to select cinemas in the Philippines this November.
Previously, ODEX Philippines announced that this new Quintessential Quintuplets special will get a PH cinema release, though a specific date wasn’t announced. Soon though, the SM Cinema website published a page for the anime, indicating that it will get a fan screening on November 23. Soon after, it’s expected that the anime will get a wider release on November 27.
Similar to other recent anime movie releases, this will be an SM Cinema-exclusive, though there’s no word yet on how many screens this will get given that it’s not a full-length movie.
Specifically, The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2 is the second anime special for the popular romantic comedy anime. While the anime’s story has concluded following the Quintessential Quintuplets movie, this new special promises to delight fans as it’s essentially a honeymoon episode that’s based on a new concept by series creator Negi Haruba.
Note that because it’s an anime special, it’s listed as having a runtime of only 46 minutes. As such, it should be the length of around two anime episodes. Despite this, the special should still be something fans of the anime might want to check out.
More details on the fan screening and general release will be shared soon.
