Twenty One Pilots, d4vd, and Royal & the Serpent are set to perform at The Game Awards

This year's Game Awards will again feature plenty of musical performances.

With the ceremony just weeks away, The Game Awards announced that Twenty One Pilots, d4vd, and Royal & the Serpent will perform at the event on December 12.

Every year, The Game Awards features plenty of great performances, so it’s no surprise that more artists will be present at the event to perform their latest tracks. These three artists are the first musical guests to be revealed, indicating that more will be shared in the leadup to the ceremony.

So, why these three artists in particular? Well, all three have new songs for Riot and Fortiche’s Arcane Season 2 which recently ended over the weekend. Specifically, the new tracks from the artists include “The Line” by Twenty One Pilots, “Remember Me” by d4vd, and “Wasteland” by Royal & The Serpent. The artists will perform their new songs on stage alongside The Game Awards Orchestra led by award-winning conductor Lorne Balfe.

This also won’t be the first performance of songs from Arcane though as the 2021 ceremony featured a performance of “What Could Have Been” by String from Arcane’s season 1 soundtrack.

Ahead of the ceremony, Twenty One Pilots shared their music video for “The Line” which you can watch here:

Regarding their upcoming performance, the artists said:

“As a fan, when invited to be a part of Arcane, I was inspired to contribute in some way. So many aspects of this story connect with me on a creative level, and when the scene was shared, I immediately knew the lyrical concept and direction I wanted to take when writing ‘The Line,’” said Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots. “Josh and I are thrilled to present this song on stage for the first time during the 2024 Game Awards.”

“As a gamer and a genuine fan of ‘League of Legends,’ it was an amazing experience to collaborate with Riot Games in the making of ‘Remember Me’ – also inspiring me to get better at the game,” said d4vd.

“Getting to be a part of one of the most remarkable and stunning shows I’ve ever seen has been such an honor,” said Royal. “Arcane struck my heart with its profound storyline, innovative art style, and powerhouse soundtrack when it was first released in 2021. Since then I’ve been dreaming of collaborating on the project in any way possible. I am so grateful and excited to get to share this moment with not only the fans of the show, but everyone else who’s dedicated so much of their time and passion into creating such a beautiful body of work.”
