ASUS ROG and M6 launch MLBB Media Championship
The baddest MLBB players in media will be duking it out in the first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Media Championship!
In an exciting development, MOONTON Games and ASUS ROG are set to launch the first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Media Championship (MMC). This momentous event will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and will run alongside the M6 World Championship, MLBB’s flagship international tournament.
Eight teams comprised of international media representatives will compete for a substantial prize pool, including 400,000 in-game Diamonds and five ASUS ROG Phone 8 units. The event aims to celebrate and recognize media partners who have been instrumental in promoting Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s esports ecosystem.
Adrian Cher, Esports Head of Business Development and Sales at MOONTON Games, highlighted the importance of media in the esports landscape. “The media have been vital wordsmiths in turning our outstanding players into world-renowned personalities through their creative storytelling. This time, we want to put the spotlight on our media partners in a competitive arena that will challenge them to be greater than ever.”
“We are grateful for this collaboration with ASUS ROG. This industry-first, one-of-a-kind partnership will enable our media to step into the shoes of our esports athletes and experience first-hand the competitive world of professional MLBB,” Cher added.
Shawn Chang, Global Sales and Marketing Director of the Phone Business Unit at ASUS, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “ROG Phone is thrilled to support the first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Media Championship tournament, providing our media partners with an unrivaled gaming platform. This collaboration underscores our commitment to the gaming community, including our storytellers, further strengthening our dedication to advancing global mobile esports. It enables media partners to showcase their talents on the world stage while enjoying an exceptional competitive gaming experience,” Chang stated.
The tournament will officially kick off tomorrow, December 10, and will have two parts: the Elimination Round and the Grand Finals. Eight (8) teams of international media covering M6 on-ground will vie for the title as the media champions of the first MMC, get the biggest share of the prize pool – comprising 400,000 in-game Diamonds – and take home five (5) ASUS ROG Phone 8 units.
