In case you haven’t seen it yet, Castlevania: Nocturne is set after the events of Netflix’s previous Castlevania series which ran for four seasons. This new series follows Richter Belmont and his sister Maria Renard, both of whom are the protagonists of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood. Richter and Maria are also major characters in the iconic Symphony of the Night.
As with the original Castlevania animated series, Nocturne received positive reviews from critics. This, coupled with the fan reception, helped the show get renewed for a second season just one week after the first season’s release.
Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 will be released worldwide on January 16, 2025, exclusively on Netflix. For now, there’s no word yet on how many episodes this new season will have. Since the first season got 8 episodes, it’s likely that season 2 will get a similar number.
