Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 launches in 2025
The Hinokami Chronicles 2 also got its first trailer featuring the Hashira!
Following the first game’s release back in 2021, SEGA revealed that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will launch in 2025.
To go along with the announcement, the game’s first trailer was released on SEGA’s official YouTube channel. This trailer not only features gameplay snippets, but also puts the spotlight on the Hashira.
As the Hinokami Chronicles followed the anime’s story up to the Mugen Train arc, fans will be happy to know that the sequel’s story mode will cover the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc. Thus, The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be up to date with the anime, at least before the Infinity Castle movie gets released.
Along with the Story Mode, players can also enjoy the VS Mode which will have a bigger roster. Aside from new roster additions, the eighteen characters from the first Hinokami Chronicles game will be available. Yes, this also means the demons added in the free update along with characters from the Entertainment District DLC packs will be included.
Fans will also be happy to know that all nine Hashira in Demon Slayer will be playable. With this, players can play as their favorite Hashira in VS Mode, whether it’s against a CPU-controller opponent or against other players.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in 2025. For now, there’s no word yet on a specific release date.
