According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), an independent third-party global market intelligence & data provider for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets, HUAWEI retains its #1 spot in IDC’s Global Wearables Market study for Q1~Q3 2024. Impressive feat considering the brand struggled against Apple’s set of wearables last year.
This year, however, it seemed HUAWEI was able to overtake all their current competitors including Apple with an impressive 16.9% Global Market Share and an overwhelming 44.3% year-on-year growth on global shipments. According to a PR released by the brand, HUAWEI also dominated the domestic market with 35.7% market share on tech wearables for 2024.
The Wearables to Watch For
HUAWEI has consistently been producing industry-leading wearables ever since first HUAWEI Watch was created. Several years down the line and 2024 enjoyed a slew of HUAWEI releases from the HUAWEI Watch Fit 3, HUAWEI Watch GT 5 Series, a new variant for the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate, down to the Huawei Watch D2 — the smart wearable that can measure & monitor your blood pressure.
Excellently designed packed with state-of-the-art tech for health and wellness, HUAWEI wearables are among the first brands we’d recommend when people ask for smartwatches. The great thing about a HUAWEI wearable is that it almost always will work on both iOS and Android devices. This means you don’t even need to own a HUAWEI phone for it to work — unlike some wearables that will require you to be locked in their ecosystem. The flexibility, ease of use, and advanced health monitoring (ECG functions, 24/7 Heart rate, Blood 02, and now blood pressure monitoring, nutrition tracker, calorie tracker, etc) allowed HUAWEI to reach the #1 spot for the year.
