KonoSuba Season 3 OVA is getting special screenings this March

Months after the third season’s finale, the KonoSuba Season 3 OVA is finally getting released in Japan this March via special screenings.

While the third season is over, KonoSuba is getting some extra episodes in the form of an OVA release titled “KonoSuba – God’s Blessings on These Wonderful Bonus Stage!” This is similar to the first two seasons which got an OVA episode each.

This OVA is divided into two stories titled “Red Stream Explosion!” and “Nisemono Chui!” (or “Beware of Fakes!” in English), respectively. Based on how hilarious the previous OVAs are, this latest one promises to be a must-watch for fans.

In Japan, the Bonus Stage OVA will get a special theatrical run for two weeks, beginning on March 14, 2025. Soon after, the OVA will be released on Season 3’s BD/DVD on April 25, 2025.

While anime theatrical releases have become fairly common even outside Japan, chances are that the OVA won’t get released in cinemas internationally given that it’s a limited run even in its home country.

On the flip side, it’s likely that the OVA will be released on streaming platforms sometime in the future. Fingers crossed that it also gets released as early as April 2025.
