ASUS unveils NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards

ASUS just dropped their brand new 50 series GPUs!

Global tech brand ASUS just unveiled their latest lineup of premium graphics cards featuring NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX 50 Series. This new set of GPUs feature groundbreaking innovations including the first-ever four-fan design in its premium ROG Astral line.

Announced on January 7, 2025, the series includes the GeForce RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 models across ROG, TUF Gaming, and Prime product families. Powered by NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, these GPUs promise significant performance improvements and enhanced AI capabilities through NVIDIA DLSS 4 and NIM microservices.

The flagship ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 cards feature a revolutionary quad-fan design that delivers 20% better airflow compared to previous three-fan models. These cards incorporate ASUS’s patented vapor-chamber design and a new phase-change thermal pad that optimizes heat transfer for improved longevity under heavy loads. For enthusiasts preferring liquid cooling, ASUS offers the ROG Astral LC GeForce RTX 5090, featuring a 360mm radiator that provides up to 30% better thermal performance than air-cooled variants. The card includes a full-coverage cold plate and maintains quiet operation even under intense workloads.

Gamers looking for a powerful GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5070 graphics card should look at the ROG Strix variants, featuring striking designs and a host of features, including a vented exoskeleton, Dual BIOS switch, high-end power delivery, phase-change GPU thermal pad and Aura Sync.

The new graphics cards feature premium power delivery systems with 80-amp MOSFETs, offering 35% more headroom than standard designs for enhanced stability and overclocking potential. A protective PCB coating helps prevent damage from moisture and dust, while the metal frame construction ensures durability.

ASUS has also updated its TUF Gaming and Prime series with the new GPUs. The TUF Gaming variants feature military-grade components and the same phase-change thermal compound as the ROG models, while the Prime series offers a more affordable entry point with a 2.5-slot design for broader compatibility.

All cards in the RTX 50 Series support ASUS’s MuseTree AI image-generation app and can be paired with the company’s ROG Thor III and ROG Strix Platinum power supplies, which feature ATX 3.1 support and ASUS’s GPU-First intelligent voltage stabilizer.
