HONOR just set a new Guinness World Record with the HONOR X9c 5G

HONOR PH just set a new world record with its new X9c 5G smartphone!

In what is no doubt one of the most impressive ways to highlight a new phone, HONOR Philippines set a Guinness World Record with its X9c 5G.

So, what exactly did the HONOR X9c 5G set? Because HONOR bills its new device as the toughest phone, the world record is fittingly for “The Most People Performing a Mobile Phone Drop Test Simultaneously.” To set this record, HONOR held a special event earlier today where 264 participants simultaneously dropped the latest HONOR X9c 5G. Not only did this secure an official Guinness World Record, but it also proved just how tough the new HONOR phone is.

“A win for HONOR is a win for the Filipinos. Prior to its launch, the toughest phone already has already set a Guinness World Record and this is a feat for everyone who supported us since day one. But we still have big news to share with everyone so stay tuned on January 10,” said HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng.

As for how the phone survived the drop test, the HONOR X9c 5G was designed with sturdiness and toughness in mind, with the phone having an SGS 5-Star rating for Drop Resistance. Thanks to this, the phone can survive up to two-meter drops with no issues. What’s more, it has a water resistance rating of IP65M, meaning it can be submerged up to 25cm deep for a maximum of 5 minutes

Plus, the HONOR X9c 5G is tough enough to withstand the boiling test. Yes, this means the phone can survive being submerged in boiling water. The reverse is also true as it can take take extreme temperatures ranging like -40°C. You’ll see more of this when the phone launches later this week.

The  HONOR X9c 5G is set to be launched on January 10, with its launch event going live on Facebook at 6PM on that day.
