HONOR launches the X9c 5G in the Philippines, its ‘toughest phone’ yet

HONOR Philippines just launched their toughest phone to date, the HONOR X9c 5G. Poised to be another best-seller for the brand, the HONOR X9c 5G updates and improves upon everything we love from the previous generation. The toughest made tougher is what the brand promised and that’s what we got as presented in today’s launch when HONOR Philippines revealed if the HONOR X9c 5G survived a 500-meter drop. News flash: it did.
Leading to the official launch, the HONOR X9c 5G nabbed a Guinness World Record for the most number of people conducting a smartphone drop test in a single place. This further cements the brand’s claim-to-fame about the phone’s impressive durability.
Durability aside, the HONOR X9c 5G is a really capable phone. Equipped with the ever-reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 5G Processor (4nm), Adreno 710 GPU, 12GB of RAM (+12GB VRAM), and 256GB of internal storage. It also comes with a large industry-leading 6600mAh silicon-carbon battery with 66W SuperCharge capability.
The reinforced display protects a 6.78″ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate support and, for the first time on an X-series, 3840Hz PWM Dimming technology with a peak brightness of 4000 nits. I mean, these additions usually are for the high mid-range to flagship phones already (sans processor and GPU).
With the success of the HONOR X9b 5G, HONOR Philippines expect the new tougher toughest phone (say that 3x in a row) should outsell its predecessor.
