Honor of Kings celebrates the Year of the Snake with lots of rewards

To welcome the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake, Honor of Kings has lots of rewards for players now until the 12th of February.

While the Lunar New Year is always a festive occasion, HoK went the extra mile for its Year of the Snake festivities. That’s because players can get free heroes, limited-edition skins, and many more.

To start, players can get exclusive skins, including the “Wish of Order” – Lam, “Wish of Abundance“ – Consort Yu, “Wish of Harmony” – Daji, and “Wish of Eternity” – Nuwa. These skins will be available starting today, January 27.

Then, there’s the free heroes promo from January 29 to February 12. Players can earn Lam, Consort Yu, Daji, and Nuwa during the event. For those interested, here’s how you can get them:

Log in daily: Get two Exchange Coins just for logging in
Play one game per day: Obtain one Exchange Coin
Play three games per day: Receive two Exchange Coins
Team up for three matches: Score big with 15 Exchange Coins
Spend 35 Exchange Coins: Choose your Hero – Lam, Consort Yu, Daji, or Nuwa
Spend five Exchange Coins: Collect four Hero Fragments (limited to 20)

Plus, log in daily to receive 200 Dragon Crystals, and claim an additional 300 Dragon Crystals for your first ranked match win each day.

Along with these, there’s also the Year of the Snake Market from January 24 to February 12 which features the following festivities:

Collect “Snake Cake”: Participate in Daily and Limited Missions to collect “Snake Cake,” before trading and redeeming it. Daily Missions refresh daily, while Limited Missions can only be completed once throughout the event cycle.
Trade “Snake Cake”: Sell your “Snake Cake” in your market or other players’ markets to earn “Snake Coins”. Market prices for “Snake Cake” refresh daily, so check your friends’ markets for better deals and more “Snake Coins!”
Earn Bonus Income: When other players sell “Snake Cake” in your market, you’ll earn five percent of the takings. Don’t forget to share your market code with others to maximise your earnings!
Redeem Rewards: Exchange your “Snake Coins” in the Redemption Shop for an exclusive free Legendary Skin.
Daily Refresh Time: 5:00 (UTC+0).

Players can also experience the “Rune Blessing” battlefield theme. Here, a random rune spawns in the riverside during a match, with subsequent runes spawning every minute until 10 minutes have elapsed. Any runes that are not picked up will remain on the map, and the primary battlefield rune will last for two minutes, during which players cannot pick up another rune.

The rune’s effects are as follows:

Gold Gain: Gain gold immediately and continue to gain gold afterward.
Mana Gain: Immediately restores mana and provides continuous mana restoration (cannot be converted to a bit life restoration for mana-striped Heroes).
Recovery Gain: Immediately restores health, maintains sustained health recovery, also after the battle
Speed Boost: Delivers an immediate, but short-lived speed burst
Cooldown Gain: Immediately reduces skill cooldowns and speeds up skill cooldown rotation.

If that’s not enough, players can also earn Red Packets as part of the celebration. These packets let players unlock a skin they don’t already own, though players will need a certain number of packets.

Here’s a rundown of how they work:

Earn Red Packets Through Two Events:
- (1) Sign in between January 24 – February 12 to receive 20 Lucky Red Packets.
- (2) Participate in matches each day between January 28 – February 4 to receive 40 Lucky Red Packets.
Open Lucky Red Packets to Receive Guaranteed Rewards. Each red packet contains rewards such as diamonds, starstones, skin fragments, or a random skin chest.
- Guaranteed Reward: Open 10 red packets to receive a Random Skin Chest featuring a skin you don’t already own.
Skin Chest Rewards Include:
- Various skins include: Kickoff Skin, Rare skin, and Epic Skin
Where Can You Use Lucky Red Packets?
- (1) Send and Open in the World Chat Channel (both limited to 2 times per day).
- (2) Distribute and Open during Hero Selection in Matches (both limited to 2 times per day).

Finally, there’s an Eight Day Buff Bonus from January 28 to February 4 where players who play three matches a day can enjoy double rewards. Plus, the Honor of Kings Year of the Snake login event features various rewards, including Koi Blessing Intimacy x10, 1,500 Arcana Fragment, the “Give Me Angpao” permanent avatar, multiple Lucky Red Packets, the “Golden Snake New Year” avatar frame, and an exclusive Spring Festival title.
