JoyRide and PLDT Enterprise enter new partnership
This new collaboration between PLDT and JoyRide might just be the boon our public transportation needs.
PLDT Enterprise and JoyRide, the country’s first homegrown superapp, have partnered up to revolutionize the ride-hailing industry. Through enhanced connectivity and communication solutions, this collaboration will integrate PLDT Enterprise’s fixed and wireless solutions, including Smart Messaging Suite, Smart Bro, Bizload, Smart Postpaid, SIP Trunk, and Direct Subscriber Line.
These technologies will support JoyRide’s expansion across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, covering areas such as Metro Manila, Cebu, Baguio, and Cagayan de Oro. The partnership also supports JoyRide’s newly launched bus service connecting to destinations via Victory Liner.
The Smart Messaging Suite will enable real-time customer engagement through OTPs and updates, while Smart Bro powers interactive tablets in JoyRide taxis. Riders will benefit from Smart Bizload’s mobile reloading system, with SIP Trunk and Direct Subscriber Line solutions handling high-volume customer communications.
This partnership comes as the transportation sector contributed PHP 202.58 billion to the GDP in Q3 2024, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Public Transport Modernization Program, which has consolidated 85% of Public Utility Vehicles.
