Lenovo unveils new handheld Legion Go S at CES 2025
Gaming on the Go has never been this exciting.
2025 is heating up with new consumer and gaming tech and Lenovo is continuing their handheld heritage with the Lenovo Legion Go S (8″,1) and Legion Go S (8″,1) – Powered by SteamOS™. Yes, they might need better naming conventions but the Legion Go S (8″,1) – Powered by SteamOS™ is the first third party Steam Deck to be produced commercially. It’s also powered by a custom Lenovo Legion Go AMD Ryzen™ Z2 Go processor and up to 32GB of 7500Mhz LPDDR5X RAM2, and a 3-cell 55.5Whr battery. In some markets, the device may be powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. We’ll just have to wait and see which variants we’ll be getting.

On the show floor at CES, Lenovo also showcased the Legion Go (8.8”, 2) Prototype – a showcase of Lenovo’s vision for the future of handheld gaming intended to include an OLED PureSight display, top-tier AMD Ryzen processors, and further ergonomic refinements for best on-the-go gaming a seasoned gamer can get.
To complement this handheld innovations coming in from Lenovo, the brand also showed a couple of cool accessories that you can pair with the Lenovo Legion Go line of handheld devices.
- Legion Go S Screen Protector: Durable 9H glass that protects the handheld device without compromising touch sensitivity.
- Legion Sling Bag: Water-resistant and adjustable, designed to carry Legion Go devices and accessories on the go.
- Legion Glasses 2: Updated lightweight wearable virtual screen glasses with brighter visuals, wider color gamut, and up to 120Hz refresh rate for private, immersive gaming experiences.
- Legion H410 Wireless Gaming Headset: High-fidelity sound, dual connectivity (2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.2), and a flip-to-mute microphone for seamless, high-performance audio.
In a recent post from Lenovo Legion Community members, it seems that we’ll be getting the Lenovo Legion Go S (8″, 1) – Powered by SteamOS™ soon as well.
