Overwatch 2 Spotlight is happening this February, and it is set to showcase massive changes to the PvP experience for 2025.

While Overwatch 2 hasn’t gotten a massive update in the first month of the year, Blizzard promises that this will all change soon with the arrival of massive changes to the game’s PvP experience. These “groundbreaking” changes will be showcased at the Overwatch 2 Spotlight event which will happen on February 12 (Feb 13 in PH Time), and will be live on the game’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.

There’s not a lot of details yet, but Blizzard confirmed that new heroes, new maps, and more will be shown at the event. Plus, Blizzard is inviting various Overwatch 2 content creators to their HQ to get a hands-on of the new gameplay that will be shown at Spotlight. By watching the hands-on streams of the content creators, you can get the Lucio Cyber DJ Legendary Skin as an exclusive drop.

Given that Blizzard brought back the 6v6 mode for a short time during the Winter Wonderland event, it’s possible that the event will confirm that the classic 6v6 matches from Overwatch 1 will make a proper return.

As plenty of fans have clamored for this classic mode, it won’t be a surprise if it is finally get brought back as a permanent mode. Of course, it’s also interesting to see the new heroes and maps that will be shown.
