CONFIRMED! At the turn of a new year, HONOR Philippine announces the arrival of the brand’s toughest phone to date, the HONOR X9c 5G this coming January 10, 2024. The successor to the best-selling tough phone of 2024, the HONOR X9b 5G, the guys from HONOR Philippines will be pushing the limit of the new variant with a 500-foot drop target.
“This is our biggest launch ever and we’re excited to be dropping this the same time we welcome 2025! This smartphone is stronger with its All-Angle Ultra Defense. HONOR X9c 5G is now water, drop, and heat-resistant. Mark your calendars on January 10 and get to know the toughest phone of 2025,” said HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng.
All-Angle Triple Defense
The new HONOR X9c 5G sports an SGS 5-Star rating for Drop Resistance giving the phone defense against bumps and falls on all angles and up to 2 meters (a jump from the HONOR X9b 5G’s 1.5 meter limit). Another bump from its predecessor is the new unit’s dust and water-proof defense with the HONOR X9c 5G having an IP65M rating. This means that the phone can be submerged up to 25cm deep for a maximum of 5 minutes.
Rounding up the triple-defense protection of the smartphone is the HONOR X9c 5G’s ability to withstand extreme temperatures. And of course, this means boiling tests. We actually tried our hand in submerging the phone is boiling water for a few seconds and it barely did anything to the unit.
