Following its recent New Year event, Bushiroad announced that its upcoming Godzilla Card Game will also be released in English this July.

To start, Bushiroad held its New Year Grand Presentation 2025 earlier today, and with it came a new preview of the upcoming card game. The preview gives Godzilla fans a closer look at some of the cards and gameplay features of this upcoming game. Specifically, the video shows off the four card types which include Kaiju, Battle, Strategy, and Rage cards. These cards also come with images from the various eras of Godzilla.

While it’s only in Japanese, the video should still be a must-watch for dedicated Godzilla fans. You can check it out here:

Even though the preview is only available in Japanese, the good news is that Bushiroad will release this game simultaneously in English and Japanese. This was confirmed in the game’s official website.

To be exact, the card game will launch in English and Japanese in July 2025, though there’s no word yet on a specific release date.

Given that Godzilla is one of the most popular franchises in Japan, coupled with the fact that Godzilla recently celebrated its 70th anniversary it makes sense that Bushiroad is making a card game for it. For the longest time, games like these from Bushiroad and other Japanese companies have not gotten proper English releases, so it’s great to see this card game is getting a simultaneous release. This might also be an indicator of just how popular Godzilla has become internationally over the past couple of years.

In related news, the Gundam franchise is also getting new tabletop projects, including a card game and the Gundam Assemble tabletop tabletop game.
