Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 ‘Astra-nomical Moment’ launches on January 22

Following Version 1.4’s launch last month, HoYoverse is now gearing up for the release of Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 titled “Astra-Nomical Moment.”Specifically, Version 1.5 will launch on January 22, and it will add two new S-Rank characters: Aatra Yao and Evelyn.

The update will also feature a dazzling New Year performance from Astra Yao, and it will introduce new gameplay additions, including “Endless Tower: The Last Stand” and “Perpetrator Battle.” Along with this are activities like fishing competitions and the Bangboo pageant, along with new updates for select Agents.

HoYoverse describes Version 1.5 as:

During the new year, New Eridu’s beloved star, Astra Yao, will perform at Starloop, the city’s iconic landmark. When the main stage encircled by structures resembling a star’s orbit rises, Astra will shine brilliantly in the spotlight. Yet, where there is light, shadows are never far behind. Conspiracies and schemes lurking beneath the stage threaten Astra. However, with Evelyn and the Proxy’s unwavering support and protection, she will certainly triumph over all adversities.

While her performance is no doubt the highlight, Astra Yao is also an exciting new playable character. She is an S-Rank Ether Support Agent who can enter the Idyllic Cadenza state. In this state, she provides a damage bonus to the entire squad. When switching Agents, she remains on the battlefield to continue buffing her teammates.

As for her ultimate, it is a powerful one as it no only damages enemies, but it also restores HP to the entire squad. This makes her the first healing character in the game.

Next up is Evelyn, an S-Rank Fire Attack agent who is Astra’s guardian. Evelyn’s attacks generate Burning Tether Point, and once fully accumulated, she can unleash a Chain Attack by herself. For her Ultimate, Evelyn enters Dance of Awakened Fire where subsequent Ultimates will unlock a new animation.

Along with these new characters, the latest version will also add the new S-Rank Bangboo, Snap, along with reruns for Ellen and Qingyi.

For the new gameplay additions, there’s Mach 25, a new parkour arcade game. There’s also Endless Tower: The Last Stand where players will ascend in phases of 10 floors with specific combat effects; along with Perpetrator Battle where players need to use certain Agents, Gear, and Resonia to defeat enemies.

Finally, Proxies will be able to dress up Agents such as Astra, Ellen, and Nicole in new outfits when Version 1.5 launches. Some of these can be unlocked by participating in specific activities like the the Bangboo pageant.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 will launch on January 22 on PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.
