Global brand ASUS just unveiled their latest flagship smartphone, the Zenfone 12 Ultra, featuring advanced AI capabilities and premium design. Straight out of Taipei, the new 6.78-inch device combines sophisticated aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform.

The Zenfone 12 Ultra sports a sleek design with a silky matte glass finish and rounded corners, available in Sage Green, Ebony Black, and Sakura White. The device demonstrates ASUS’s commitment to sustainability, incorporating a 100% recycled aluminum frame and 22% recycled glass in its screen. It also features IP68 water and dust resistance for enhanced durability.

One noteworthy element is the phone’s professional-grade camera system, which includes a 50MP main camera packing a Sony Lytia 700 sensor and 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 4.0, a 32MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide lens. The front camera boasts a 32MP RGBW sensor for high-quality selfies.

The device introduces a comprehensive suite of AI tools, including AI Transcript 2.0 for meeting transcription and translation, AI Article Summary for web content condensation, and AI Call Translator 2.0 for real-time call translation. Notably, the Zenfone 12 Ultra is the first phone to integrate the Meta Llama 3 8B language model for on-device summarization. Users can choose between cloud-based and on-device AI processing, ensuring functionality even without internet connectivity.

The smartphone’s premium features extend to its hardware specifications, including a 5500mAh battery providing over 26 hours of use, Qi 1.3 wireless charging support, and WiFi 7 readiness. The device also supports eSIM technology for enhanced connectivity options.

Performance is driven by up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 storage, while the display features a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, with the ability to reach 144Hz during gaming sessions. There is no news on whether it will be released in the Philippines as of yet.
