gamescom asia is moving to Bangkok to join forces with Thailand Game Show
A major change is coming to gamescom asia.
After five events in Singapore, gamescom asia announced that it has partnered with Thailand Game Show for its next event. That means the next gamescom asia event will happen in Bangkok alongside Thailand’s premiere video game event.
Since 2021, gamescom asia has taken place in Singapore, so this move to Thailand is a major development, though it does make sense when you consider the dates. Over the past years, gamescom asia has taken place at the same time as Thailand’s big gaming event, so we can see why the two have teamed up so that industry folk don’t have to choose between attending one or the other.
There are not a lot of details about what to expect yet, though what was revealed is that the event will feature a business area and an entertainment area – a similar split to previous gamescom events.
Given the partnership, we also expect the scale to be quite big, especially as it’s now the new premier gaming event of Southeast Asia.
