Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime to premiere this April, featuring new song by Kenshi Yonezu
Gundam GQuuuuuuX's premiere is just a few months away!

Aside from its upcoming PH cinema release, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX revealed its April release date and theme song by Kenshi Yonezu.
The anime’s release date was revealed recently via the show’s official website. There, it was confirmed that the series will be released on April 8 at 24:29 JST. Due to some a quirk when it comes to TV programming schedules in Japan, this essentially means the show’s first episode will air on April 9 at 12:29 AM JST (or April 9 at 11:29 PM PH time).
Shortly after the anime’s release date reveal, a new promotional video for Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- was shared which previewed the theme song titled “Plazma” by Kenshi Yonezu, the popular Japanese artist best known for performing opening themes for Chainsaw Man and My Hero Academia.
In case you missed its reveal, Gundam GQuuuuuuX is a brand-new Gundam TV anime that will feature a brand-new storyline. It’s also significant as it’s co-produced by Studio Khara, the anime studio behind the Rebuild of Evangelion series. What’s more, this series is co-written by Evangelion creator himself, Hideaki Anno.
While the anime is only set to premiere in April, fans in Japan were treated to a theatrical release of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-. This is essentially a film version of the show’s opening episodes, making it function as a preview of the new anime series.
While the film version was released in Japan back in December, Pinoy fans can look forward to the Gundam GQuuuuuuX movie as it’s confirmed to get a PH release soon.
