HONOR to showcase AI that detects Deepfakes at MWC 2025

In a fight to secure better cyber security among the rampant proliferation of AI-generated content and hyper-realistic deepfakes, HONOR will showcase their AI Face-detecting Tool to help combat the proliferation of rampant cyber attacks using AI.

According to an official press release sent by the brand to this publication, nearly half of the companies worldwide lists Deepfake as a high threat and security risk level. HONOR’s innovative solution immediately alerts users to potential deepfake content, protecting their privacy and increasing their digital security.

According to the report, there have been an uptick of 244% increase of digital document forgeries from 2023 to 2024. Another staggering info is that deepfake attacks apparently happen every 5 minutes last year. The report presented staggering numbers of cyberattacks, deepfakes, and fraud.

While many companies may still lack the proper protocols and security checks in place for such attacks, it’s great that companies like HONOR are leading the charge when it comes to helping identify Deepfake contents and presents users with useful (and timely) information to help them keep their data secure.

While this tech has been developed since 2024, HONOR will be announcing more measures on ensuring that our relationship with AI is not only safe and secure, but also revolving around their ethos of creating tech that are human-centric in nature.
