HUAWEI Innovation Exhibit Unfolds at Premium Mall in Malaysia

The HUAWEI Innovative Exhibit is giving Cartier-vibes

Right after the Global Launch of the HUAWEI Mate XT | Ultimate Design, the World’s First Tri-fold smartphone, along with the various tech innovations like the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2” 2025, HUAWEI FreeArc, and HUAWEI Band 10, the tech giant unveiled a very luxe exhibit to house the very premium device at the Pavilion Mall, one of the high-end malls at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In true Ultimate Design fashion, HUAWEI created a massive pop-up experiential exhibit where guests can try out the brand’s latest devices in a posh upscale luxury store setting. With marbled interiors, gilded gold accent pieces, and enclosed in glossy deep red walls, you think you’d step into Cartier than a tech brand showcase. Well, with the HUAWEI Mate XT as the device centerpiece, you might as well have been inside Cartier. The innovative phone is one of a kind, and it’s not just the three-screen foldable aspect we’re talking about. Everything was meticulously crafted to perfection that even the diamond star design camera ring on the main module has an almost couture approach to it.

Similar to what they showed on the Global Launch showfloor, the exhibit showcased the process of crafting said rings. It takes 78 steps and 22 days to manufacture just one ring to be fitted in the camera module. Something that doesn’t really affect performance but brings so much value to the device. From a block of steel, it goes through custom hand-winding by artisans tapped by HUAWEI before it even goes through the many steps of machine cutting, polishing, and coloring.

It’s not just the HUAWEI Mate XT on display at the exhibit, though. They also highlighted the HUAWEI Mate X6’s super tough Carbon Fibre Inner Screen Plate that counteracts pressures of all kind and the 550 MPa aviation-grade aluminum middle frame.

It just goes to show HUAWEI’s obsession in craftsmanship and build quality. In fact, it’s this pursuit that lends us to believe HUAWEI’s Ultimate Flex isn’t just the finished devices that they create: it’s their undying dedication to push innovation forward regardless of hindrances and obstacles thrown their way.

Take the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate and Watch Ultimate Design – which are also on the exhibit area as well. HUAWEI has perfected the art of merging high-spec’d functionality, reverence to age-old watch making traditions, and modern urban sensibilities. It’s these values that can be felt again, and again, in most of their flagship-level devices regardless if it’s a wearable like the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate, or office and creative productivity like the newly announced HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2”.

Again, eager attendees got the chance to get up close and personal with these devices.

For the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2” they had an area to test the PaperMatte Display as it renders almost all screen reflections to zero. And you also get the chance to play around with the GoPaint App that makes drawing and painting on the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2” as natural as drawing on actual paper or canvas.

As a Fine Arts Major graduate, I was thoroughly impressed.

Overall, the experience was well worth the visit to Pavilion Mall (despite having a full day of covering the Global Launch the day before) and we’re hoping that the HUAWEI Innovation Exhibit pops up in more areas outside KL. Heck, if HUAWEI Philippines can bring this back home, it would certainly help cement the brand as a premium provider of quality luxe devices.

Here’s hoping!
