MF Ghost Season 3 is set to premiere in 2026
Fans will need to wait a bit longer for the next season.
Following its reveal back in December, MF Ghost Season 3 is set to premiere in 2026, as revealed last Sunday via a new teaser video.
The anime’s third season was announced on December 22, the same day as the release of Season 2’s final episode. At the time though, there was no word on when the next season will come out.
Finally, the MF Ghost official channels shared a new teaser video revealing that the show will premiere in 2026.
The wait may be a bit long, but it makes sense when you consider the previous seasons. After all, the first two MF Ghost seasons premiered in October 2022 and 2024, respectively. Given this, we expect to see the third season be released in October 2026. Of course, we’re hoping to see it a bit earlier in the year.
Unfamiliar with MF Ghost? This anime series is produced by studio Felix Film, and it’s based on the manga of the same name by Shuichi Shigeno, the creator of Initial D.
Yes, that means MF Ghost is a follow-up to Initial D, albeit one that’s set years after the iconic street racing series. While you don’t need to have watched or read Initial D to enjoy this series, MF Ghost has some major connections to the previous title For instance, the protagonist Kanata Rivington was trained by Takumi Fujiwara, the main character of Initial D.
