SEGA pre-launches Sonic Rumble on Google Play Games on PC
Pre-registration is also still open on all platforms.

Ahead of the game’s launch, SEGA has announced that the pre-launch edition of Sonic Rumble is available now on PC via Google Play Games.
To be exact, the game’s PC version on Google Play Games was released on January 29, 2025, though only in select regions. While there’s also a PC version via Steam coming soon, the Google Play Games PC version might be worth downloading for players with Android devices. That’s because it will be easy in this version to link your account and data between the PC and mobile versions.
While the pre-launch is available now, the Sonic Rumble launch edition will only be available sometime in 2025, releasing on iOS, Android, Steam, and Google Play Games. For those who haven’t yet, pre-registration is still open. In fact, there have now been over 400,000 users who have pre-registered. As more players register, more rewards will be unlocked.
Interested in downloading the game? Here are the PC system requirements:
- OS: Windows 10/Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Pentium G3260/AMD A8-7650K or higher
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GT 630 (VRAM 2GB)/Radeon R7 240 or higher
- DirectX: Version 11 or higher
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 7 GB available space
These are pretty light requirements, meaning even old PCs and non-gaming laptops should be able to run the game with ease, though this isn’t surprising given that it’s made to run on mobile.
