Huawei recently launched their latest foldable smartphone, the HUAWEI Mate X6, an answer to key durability challenges in foldables. Such issues have supposedly plagued previous folding device designs, and the brand aims to step things up with their own brand new flagship. Priced at PHP 114,999, the smartphone promises unprecedented resilience and innovation in the rapidly evolving mobile technology market.

The Mate X6 distinguishes itself through several engineering breakthroughs. Its advanced hinge system, crafted from 1900MPa ultra-high-strength steel, reduces folding thickness by 12% while increasing durability. The hinge is 27% stronger than previous iterations, capable of withstanding extensive use.

The device’s inner screen represents another technological leap. Featuring a composite laminated structure with a carbon fiber support layer, the screen boasts a 380GPa deformation resistance and 65% increased material stiffness. Huawei claims the screen is strong enough to support the weight of a motorcycle and remains crease-free after prolonged use.

Additional durability features include aviation-grade aluminum middle frame with 37% increased strength, a HUAWEI Kunlun Glass 2nd Generation exterior screen, and 25 times improved drop resistance. These key features make up the core of the Mate X6’s claim to durability.

The Mate X6 is now available for PHP 114,999. Available in Nebula Red and Black, the foldable phone is available on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, HUAWEI Online Store, and HUAWEI Experience Stores nationwide.
