HUAWEI’s ultimate tech flex for 2025 is here and it’s going to cost a pretty penny as expected. After checking the HUAWEI Mate XT | Ultimate Design, the World’s first Tri-Fold smartphone at the global launch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, it seems HUAWEI Philippines is confident enough to launch this monster of a phone here.

The HUAWEI Mate XT is the first smartphone that has both an outward and inward folding capabilities which allows for the phone to utilize one entire sheet of foldable AMOLED Screen and transform your device into a full tablet-like experience, or shrink down to handier sizes. The transition from three screens to one is also pretty seamless thanks, in part, to the Advanced Precision Hinge System on the HUAWEI Mate XT.
In our first impression feature, we noted how thin the HUAWEI Mate XT is with a thickness of just 3.6mm when unfolded. Add to the fact that unit houses 5600mAh of battery at just 1.9mm thin, and you get an engineering marvel of a smartphone. The inner-folding hinge itself has an embedded rail structure for a sleek, compact form, while its outward-folding hinge uses a one-piece linkage structure to maintain stability. The hinge is also crafted from 100% ultra-high-strength steel with an impressive 1,900MPa deformation resistance, ensuring that the device can withstand the wear of frequent folding and unfolding.
The HUAWEI Mate XT is a device steeped in pure elegance and luxurious design language. Everything from the sleek engineering to snappy (and flowy) software, down to the little details, the smartphone is a testament to the brand’s obsession with precise craftsmanship.
Its Eonic Curves on the smartphone’s rear camera module is perhaps one of the best example of this artistry.
