Bleach Rebirth of Souls now available on consoles and PC

After its announcement at Anime Expo 2024, Bandai Namco announced that Bleach Rebirth of Souls is finally available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Out of the Shonen Jump “Big 3” of the 2000s, it’s fair to say that Bleach has gotten the least amount of new projects in terms of not only new manga, but also games and other media. After all, One Piece is ongoing and has plenty of game adaptations. Meanwhile, Naruto has Boruto, plus it got the Naruto x Boruto game in 2023.

Thankfully, Bleach fans are finally being treated to new projects. Aside from the Thousand-Year Blood War anime that began in 2022, there’s also Rebirth of Souls, the new Bleach fighting game featuring an original story by series creator, Tite Kubo.

To mark the game’s launch, Bandai Namco shared a new trailer that you can watch here:

You can think of this game as the Bleach version of Ultimate Ninja Storm for Naruto. That’s because this game features a wide array of characters from the anime, not to mention a Story Mode that follows some of the anime’s best-known arcs.

The game’s premise is described as:

In BLEACH Rebirth of Souls, players can engage in thrilling battles and experience their favorite characters as they relive the main story of BLEACH and immerse in the anime universe via multiple exciting game modes. The game’s Story Mode features an epic journey spanning from Ichigo’s rise as a Soul Reaper in the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc to the climactic battle against Sosuke Aizen in the Arrancar Arc. In Free Match, players can test their pride and skills in intense battles against other players worldwide. Versus mode enables local multiplayer battles with friends or offline CPU. Players can also unlock deeper insights into the characters of BLEACH with Secret Story Mode, revealing the moments that shaped their personalities.
