Following its announcement back in November, the upcoming Cat’s Eye anime got a new trailer, revealing its September 2025 premiere.

In case you missed it, this new anime is being produced by Liden Films, the studio behind popular titles like Tokyo Revengers and the Rurouni Kenshin remake.

You can check out the new trailer here:

The anime’s trailer gives us a taste of what to expect, and it features a cover by popular singer Ado of the original anime’s theme song. It also shows off some of the show’s characters which are voiced by:

  • Mikako Komatsu (Maki Zenin in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Hitomi Kisugi
  • Ami Koshimizu (Ryuko Matoi in Kill la Kill) as Rui Kisugi
  • Yumiri Hanamori (Ai Hayasaka in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Ai Kisugi
  • Takuya Sato (Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Toshio Utsumi

Along with the new trailer, the anime also got these new visuals:

This is not the first anime adaptation though. Cat’s Eye was adapted as an anime back in the 80s by Tokyo Movie Shinsha.

If you’re unfamiliar with the series though, Cat’s Eye began as a manga that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It was written by Tsukasa Hojo, the creator of City Hunter and Angel Heart. Its story follows three sisters who run a cafe in Tokyo, though the three live a double life as art thieves

The new Cat’s Eye series will premiere on Disney+ in Japan this September. There’s no word yet on if this series will also be released this September worldwide Disney+ release, though that is likely given the platform’s continued push to release more anime.

In related news, the newest season of Gannibal is now streaming on Disney+ worldwide.
