Disco Elysium is coming to Android, and pre-registration is now live
Disco Elysium's mobile version won't just be a straight-up port.

Fresh after the announcement of Project [C4], ZA/UM announced that Disco Elysium is coming soon to Android devices.
Since Disco’s initial launch back in 2019 on PC, the game has become available on all major consoles, though all versions offer pretty much the same experience. That won’t be the case with the mobile version though as ZA/UM describes it as a “total re-imagination” of the original that will cater more towards the habits of mobile players.
As such, the game’s story and gameplay have been optimized for short play sessions. Plus, some teaser visuals for the mobile version may imply that the game will be playable vertically on Android, though we can’t say for certain if that will be the case.
Regarding the Android version, Narrative Lead Chris Priestman said:
“With this adaptation, Disco Elysium becomes more accessible than ever. This reimagination is now structured to fit the way people play on mobile, making it effortless to enjoy in short bursts. It’s what audiobooks wish they were. Disco Elysium’s new, 360-degree scenes were built exclusively to place the mobile user right in the middle of Revachol, while brand new audio featuring full voiceover serves to deliver a more immersive, even more character-rich experience.”
Given that there will be optimizations to the story, it’ll be interesting to see how the mobile version will differ, especially considering that the story is Disco Elysium’s main draw.
To allay fans’ fears though, Denis Havel, Studio Head said:
“Mobile players deserve deep, story-rich experiences, like Disco Elysium. With profound respect for the original’s artistry and meaning, we move forward as both custodians and creators, bringing this masterpiece to new and returning players alike. We want you to fall in love with Disco Elysium on your phone – all over again.”
The first two chapters of the game will be available for free upon launch, with the rest of the chapters being available via a single purchase, with no ads.
Pre-registration for Disco Elysium for Android is live now on the Google Play Store. While there’s no word yet on a specific release date, the game will be playable at Google’s booth at GDC 2025 in San Francisco next week. There’s also no word yet on iOS release plans. .
