Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX to stream worldwide on Prime Video

With the anime’s Japanese premiere just a month away, Prime Video announced that it will stream Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX globally this April.

Every new Gundam anime is exciting, but this latest one isn’t just big news for Gundam fans. That’s becuase GQuuuuuuX is a collaboration between Sunrise and Studio Khara – the studio behind the Rebuild of Evangelion series. Yes, this also means EVA creator Hideaki Anno is involved in GQuuuuuuX as its writer alongside Yoji Enokido. Meanwhile, the series’ director is Kazuya Tsurumaki, with character designs by Take (Pokémon Journeys) and mechanical designs by Ikuto Yamashita.

Gundam fans should already be familiar with this show. After all, GQuuuuuuX got a special cinematic release titled Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- in Japan back in January. Soon after, the movie was released in theaters in the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and more. It also got a PH release just last week.

This new Gundam anime series’ premise is described as:

Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl who lives a peaceful life in a space colony floating in space, meets Nyaan, a war refugee girl, and gets caught up in the illegal mobile suit dueling competition ‘Clan Battle.’ Using the entry name ‘MACHU’ Amate pilots a GQuuuuuuX and throws herself into fierce battles every day. At the same time, an unidentified Mobile Suit ‘Gundam,’ pursued by both the space army and the police, and its pilot, a boy named Shuuji, appears before her. And the world is about to enter a new era.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX will premiere on Prime Video on April 8, 2025 (April 9 in the PH). Here are the complete details:
