OPPO highlights AI strategy in MWC 2025 tech summit
OPPO has more AI-related plans in the pipeline for its device lineup.

Mobile World Congress 2025 is in full swing, and there, OPPO revealed its new AI solutions strategy during its recent MWC 2025 AI Tech Summit.
While OPPO already introduced an array of AI features over the past year (such as its AI Studio for photos and AI Linkboost for connectivity), the brand isn’t stopping there as it promises more tech is coming in partnership with the likes of Google and MediaTek.
“When it comes to AI, the user experience is ultimately all that matters,” said Billy Zhang, President of Overseas Marketing, Sales and Services at OPPO. “Smartphones are not just a vehicle for AI – they are the engines that power the best possible AI experiences. As a global leader in smartphones, OPPO is driving in-house innovation and open collaboration with industry partners to bring our users these unparalleled AI experiences.”

To start, the AI Tech Summit featured a presentation from Matt Waldbusser, Managing Director for Global Solution and Consumer AI, Google Cloud. There, he shared that OPPO is further integrating Google AI experiences across its smartphones, with Google Gemini being able to take action across native OPPO apps.What’s more, the collaboration also means security enhancements for AI Recording Summary, AI Search, AI Studio, AI Call Summary.

Next up, was a showcase of OPPO’s AI R&D strategy that focuses on AI features for Productivity, Creativity, and Imaging. In partnership with MediaTek, OPPO mentioned that upcoming chipsets that will powers OPPO phones will be further optimized for high-efficiency and real-time AI processing.

From AI-enhanced photography to next-generation gaming experiences, from intelligent security solutions to seamless device connectivity, the possibilities are limitless.”

OPPO also stated that it aims to double its goal of getting 50 million users as the new target is 100 million users by the end of 2025. As part of this new target, OPPO is aiming to deliver an average of one new AI update per month to entice users to make the switch to OPPO devices.
These updates include AI Search and integration of OPPO applications with Google Gemini which are coming to the Find N5, along with real-time call translation.
Finally, OPPO highlighted its AI phone lineup at MWC 2025, including the Find N5, Reno13 series, Find X8 series.
