realme unveils cold-sensitive color-changing 14 Pro Series
Realme just dropped their new color-changing 14 Pro Series smartphone at MWC 2025!
Making a groundbreaking entrance at Mobile World Congress 2025, realme just dropped their new, innovative realme 14 Pro Series. The world’s very first smartphone features cold-sensitive color-changing technology that’s quite apropos for the season–especially if you live in Southeast Asia.
This new installment to their numbered series, developed in collaboration with Denmark’s Valeur Designers, transforms from pearl white to vibrant blue when exposed to temperatures below 16°C, reverting to its original color as it warms. This pioneering feature draws inspiration from deep-sea creatures like jellyfish and mollusks.
“Through our collaboration with Valeur Designers, the 14 Pro Series brings the aesthetics and functionality of realme smartphones to new heights,” said Chase Xu, Vice President and CMO of realme. “It perfectly embodies our design philosophy of ‘Authentic and Innovative.'”
The Pearl White edition showcases a polished shell-like texture enhanced with organic seashell powder. Each device features a unique pattern created through a fusion fiber process involving over 30 steps of craftsmanship, ensuring no two devices are identical – much like shells found in nature.
Beyond aesthetics, the phones boast impressive specifications including a seamless quad-curved display and the industry’s first triple flash camera system. The 14 Pro measures just 7.55mm thick, while the 14 Pro+ is slightly under 8mm.
Environmental consciousness is also a priority, with the fusion fiber comprising 95% eco-friendly, biobased materials that are biodegradable, renewable, and energy-efficient – appealing to the growing sustainability awareness among Filipino consumers.
The brand has officially teased the launch of the realme 14 Pro Series 5G, scheduled for March 20, 2025. While the pricing information is still under wraps, customers interested in purchasing the device can place pre-orders at any realme physical store nationwide until March 19, 2025.
As part of the pre-order offer, customers will receive a FREE TechLife Bluetooth Speaker 2 worth P1,799 and a P1,000 discount when they pick up their reserved units.
