realme unveils three-year strategic plan at MWC 2025
Interchangeable lenses? A new color-changing 14 series smartphone? Realme is running wild!

As one of the world’s fastest-growing smartphone brands, realme unveiled an ambitious three-year vision at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025. Their aim is to double the global user base while strengthening their position in the mid-to-high-end market. The company also unveiled their realme 14 Pro Series globally and showcased innovative imaging technology with a revolutionary Interchangeable-lens Concept.
“As realme embarks on a new era of growth, we are committed to user-driven development to achieve sustainable breakthroughs,” said Chase Xu, Vice President and CMO of realme. “Our new strategic plan focuses not only on market expansion but also on our dedication to empowering the younger generation as a tech popularizer.”
Building on its strong performance in late 2024, when it emerged as one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands in markets like Spain, Italy, and Mexico, realme plans to accelerate growth across more than 100 markets worldwide. The company outlined a comprehensive roadmap focusing on product development, brand enhancement, and technological innovation.
At MWC, realme presented its three product lineups: the GT Series, positioned as the “Next-Level Performance Flagship with AI”; the Number Series, featuring “Next-gen Performance & Camera”; and the C Series, offering “Better Tech for Youth.” The company committed to shipping 100 million AI-powered smartphones globally over the next three years.
The brand also announced plans to deepen its connection with young users through gaming partnerships with popular titles including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, and Battlegrounds Mobile India. They will be focusing on delivering high frame rates, ultra-low latency, and immersive gaming experiences. Additionally, realme plans to collaborate with at least one influential entertainment or luxury IP each year, with two major partnerships expected in 2025.
The newly launched realme 14 Pro Series features the world’s first cold-sensitive color-changing technology, transitioning from pearl white to vibrant blue in cooler temperatures. Developed in collaboration with Valeur Designers, the “Unique Pearl Design” draws inspiration from deep-sea creatures. The series also introduces the MagicGlow Triple Flash for enhanced nighttime portraits and boasts TÜV Rheinland Rugged Smartphone Certification with IP69, IP68, and IP66 ratings for underwater use up to an hour.
Perhaps most innovative was the unveiling of realme’s Interchangeable-lens Concept, a prototype that allows users to attach DSLR lenses directly to a smartphone. The device features a 1-inch custom Sony sensor and comes with two professional-grade lenses: a 73mm portrait lens and a 234mm telephoto lens. While still in the prototype stage, this concept demonstrates realme’s commitment to advancing mobile photography.
The company also showcased two AI imaging technologies: the AI Voice-based Retoucher, which allows users to edit photos using voice commands, and the AI Video Eraser, which can remove unwanted objects from videos with a single tap.
Set for its local debut on March 20, 2025, the realme 14 Pro Series has yet to receive an official price announcement. Meanwhile, those looking to purchase ahead of the launch can place a pre-order at any realme physical store nationwide until March 19, 2025.
As a bonus, those who pre-order will receive a FREE TechLife Bluetooth Speaker 2 worth P1,799, along with a P 1,000 discount upon claiming their reserved unit.
