Clash of Clans teams up with the WWE for a new crossover

Just in time for Wrestlemania 41.

WWE and Clash of Clans recently announced a surprise crossover that brings WWE superstars into the game, including the likes of Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and more.

As this is a mobile game collab, the wrestlers won’t appear as they would in a WWE 2K game. Instead, the WWE superstars who are part of the collab appear as cartoony characters that match the game’s visual style.

To be exact, the collab features these wrestlers as the following characters:

  • Cody Rhodes as “Barbarian King”
  • Rhea Ripley as “Archer Queen”
  • The Undertaker as “Grand Warden”
  • Bianca Belair as “Royal Champion”
  • Rey Mysterio as “Minion Prince”
  • Kane as “P.E.K.K.A”
  • Becky Lynch as “Valkyrie”
  • Jey Uso as “Thrower”

The collab will also bring various WWE-themed features throughout April, including themed environments, gameplay events, cosmetics, and Easter Eggs. What’s more, Clash of Clans will be a sponsor of  WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20.

This crossover may be unexpected, but it makes sense as Cody Rhodes has been playing Clash of Clans for nearly a decade. In fact, he’s a well-known player as he is in the top 10 percent of players worldwide.

“I’ve spent years building my legacy in WWE, but it’s time for fans to know where I’ve landed most of my victories, in Clash of Clans,” said Rhodes. “As OverlordRhodes, I don’t defend, I conquer. Villages will fall, and any opposition will be crushed under my command. This isn’t about playing fair in the ring, it’s about ruling the battlefield. Just like at WrestleMania 41, I’m stepping in with one goal – absolute victory. I’ve waited a long time for this moment, and now that I’ve arrived, there’s no stopping me.”
