‘Fanblue Grantasy Rises: Versing’ returns in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising for April Fools
Yes, this is an actual update, albeit in the spirit of April Fools!
Cygames just brought back “Fanblue Grantasy Rises: Versing” for April Fools, featuring new items in Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
While many games are celebrating April Fools with funny but fake announcements, GBF Versus Rising is doing things a bit differently. That’s because the game launched a range of surreal and hilarious illustrations as in-game content.
Specifically, Cygames teamed up with the creative team AC-bu for a range of hilarious and colorful illustrations of the game’s characters under the name “Fanblue Grantasy Rises: Versing.” You can get a look at how crazy they are courtesy of this video:
The April Fools content drop may not be as big as the recent Version 2.00 update, but it should still delight fans as it features Fanblue Grantasy versions of all the game’s 35 playable characters. These illustrations are available via the in-game Rupie Shop, and what’s great is that they will continue to be available after April Fools’.

Aside from the illustrations in the character select screen, the April Fools update also brings a Fanblue Grantasy badge that can be earned as a reward. Other rewards include:

- Event Card: GBVSR x GGST Crossover Art
Finally, illustrations of Versusia, Vikala, and Sandalphon have been added to the Skyfarer Card Maker and Fan Kit. These illustrations are again made by AC-bu.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, along with the April Fools content, are available now on PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam.
